Introducing to the iLearn@Home Levels
Our iLearn@Home program is designed to provide a more structured and engaging learning experience for your children. We understand the importance of early childhood education and the role parents play in supporting their child's development. With this in mind, we have organized the iLearn@Home content into four distinct levels, each carefully crafted to meet the specific needs and developmental milestones of children in Pre-Nursery through K-2.
Roots (Pre-Nursery)
The Roots level is designed for our youngest learners in Pre-Nursery. At this stage, the focus is on building a strong foundation through sensory exploration, playful activities, and early language development. The content includes:
- Rhymes and Songs: Simple, catchy rhymes and songs to introduce basic vocabulary, phonological awareness, and rhythm. These are designed to be interactive and encourage participation through actions and gestures.
- Sensory Activities: Activities that stimulate the senses, such as exploring textures, colors, and sounds. These activities help children develop their understanding of the world around them.
- Story Time: Short, engaging stories with colorful illustrations to capture their attention and introduce them to the joy of reading.
- Interactive Games: Simple games that promote hand-eye coordination, problem-solving skills, and early math concepts like counting and sorting.
Sprouts (Nursery)
The Sprouts level is tailored for Nursery students, building upon the foundation laid in Pre-Nursery. The focus shifts towards expanding vocabulary, developing pre-writing skills, and introducing basic math concepts. The content includes:
- Alphabet and Phonics: Introduction to the alphabet, letter sounds, and simple phonics. Activities include letter tracing, sound recognition games, and blending sounds to form words.
- Number Recognition and Counting: Activities that help children recognize numbers, count objects, and understand basic math concepts like more and less.
- Thematic Lessons: Lessons centered around engaging themes like animals, plants, and transportation. These lessons integrate language, math, and science concepts in a fun and meaningful way.
- Interactive Books: Simple interactive books with engaging illustrations and audio narration to encourage early reading skills.
Leaps (K-1)
The Leaps level is designed for K-1 students, focusing on developing reading fluency, writing skills, and problem-solving abilities. The content includes:
- Reading Comprehension: Activities that help children understand and interpret what they read. These include reading passages, answering comprehension questions, and retelling stories.
- Writing Practice: Activities that encourage children to practice writing letters, words, and simple sentences. These include handwriting exercises, creative writing prompts, and journal writing.
- Math Concepts: Introduction to more advanced math concepts like addition, subtraction, and basic geometry. Activities include math games, word problems, and hands-on activities.
- Science Experiments: Simple science experiments that encourage children to explore the world around them and develop their scientific thinking skills.
Wings (K-2)
The Wings level is designed for K-2 students, preparing them for the transition to higher grades. The focus is on strengthening reading comprehension, developing critical thinking skills, and expanding their knowledge base. The content includes:
- Advanced Reading Comprehension: Activities that challenge children to think critically about what they read. These include analyzing characters, identifying themes, and making inferences.
